Interior design school - What Is It All About

The field of interior design is always changing. Not so long ago, you had to go to a formal design or art school in order to learn the field. Today students can attend almost any college or university and major in interior design.

Professional interior designers today must be licensed by the industry in order to practice their trade. Much like an architect, they must undergo intensive study and testing before even being allowed to take any licensing testing. The NCIDQ (National Council for Interior design Qualification), requires all testers to have a combination of six years of work experience, two years of schooling plus four years of work experience, or four years in a FIDER accredited university or college plus two years of work experience in order to qualify. This intensive procedure ensures that trade licensing helps to create responsible, educated designers.

At minimum, student designers should look for a college or university that is FIDER accredited and works towards a bachelor's degree required for commercial work. However, most high-end designers also obtain a masters degree or a doctorate in design. What type of classes should would-be designers consider? AutoCAD by AutoDesk, is an excellent computer aided drafting course. Those with some experience and knowledge of this software program can command a higher starting rate than those who havent taken the time to learn anything about it.

Business classes, as well as a variety of marketing courses are also a plus that many students dont consider. Interior design is 90% networking, marketing, selling, and knowing the right people; 7% paperwork and 3% design.

Some professional designers even suggest taking an acting class or two to help you learn how to make better sales pitches.

Art classes too can help you be better prepared when taking with clients. People are visual and youll have a better shot at convincing a new client of your ideas if you can sketch them. Also consider taking an art, furniture and antique history class. They all come in to play every day in the design industry.

Middle school Volleyball Drills

Players of all Skill Levels are Welcome

By the time they reach middle school, some kids are beginning to get serious about their team sports, especially volleyball. However in order to incorporate players of all skill levels, try selecting drills that place their emphasis on fun and teamwork instead of rewarding the skilled and punishing or humiliating those players with less-developed skill sets. The following middle school volleyball drills are an excellent way for players of all skill levels to improve and work together towards helping others progress as well.

The Importance of a Good Serve

While serving is one of the most important skills in volleyball, drills that practice and improve your players serving skills are often left until the end of the practice. But when you think of it in terms that serving is the only time when a player has complete control over the ball, youll think twice before shoving serving practice until the last minutes of your practice.

The aspect of serving that most players have trouble with is accuracy. Therefore try including some drills that highlight serving accuracy at your next volleyball practice, and watch the points rake in at your next game as your players learn to serve with pin-point accuracy to the holes in the other teams defense.

When showing these middle school volleyball drills to your team, make sure to run them at half speed first to give players a chance to practice the movements before implementing them in the drill. Also encourage players to ask questions on anything they are unsure of before proceeding to avoid injury and embarrassment.

To set up this serving drill, place a chair on either side of the net in Area 1. Divide your team into 2 groups that stand on either side of the net. One player from each group sits in the opposing teams chair, opposite from their team mates. The play begins as the first player from each team attempts to serve the ball with enough precision that the player sitting in the chair can catch it easily.

If the player misses their serve, the ball goes to the next player in line. If the serve is successfully caught, the player who served the ball changes places with the person in the chair, and the new player moves the chair to Area 2. Continue play until each player has made a few serves and gotten to sit in the chair or until the chair has made a few rounds around the court. To up the competitive spirit of the game enforce a rule where if a player serves out of bounds or into the net all members of their team must run and touch the 10 foot line, the end line, and the center line before returning to their positions.

Get your Players in Tip Top Shape

The next of the middle school volleyball drills starts off by having 6 players on either side of the net. The coach throws a ball in from the side, and the players must play the ball like usual except that they may only tip the ball. Each time they tip the ball to the other side, they rotate one position.

Make sure they successfully execute 2 tips before tipping the ball over to the other side. This drill is a fast-paced way to get players moving, which means it is a great warm-up drill before games.

Coast to Coast Am radio Talk Show Has Class

Are you looking for a less that politically correct talk radio. One in which no subject is off limits? 1.The first suggestion for small bathroom areas is to add glass shelving across the windows. This is relatively easy to do, and these shelves are a great place for bright-colored glass items or other interesting collections. In most bathrooms the window's only serves as something to be covered up, so rather than purchase window treatments, us these glass shelves filled with decorative items as a replacement for window treatments, as they will not only limit the view, but they will also increase the style and dcor of the room.

2.Look for proper art for your bathroom. The bathroom is not the right place in a house for your family photos, as much as you love your son, daughter, or parent, you don't really want their happy smiling face staring down at you while you are sitting on the pot, so rather, take this as an opportunity to enhance your cultural side, and you artwork to enhance your bathroom. Many feel that they can't hang any sort of artwork in the bathroom because it will be ruined by the moisture, this may be the case in some instances, but if you get it properly framed, and hang it in a well ventilated place, it is a great option. Before hanging any artwork in your bathroom, determine the quality of the ventilation. Don't hang signed lithographs, originals or anything irreplaceable if moisture collects on the walls after you shower or bathe. Paintings on canvas perform the best in bathrooms. Canvas may sag when exposed to moisture, but will tighten as it dries. However, if you are worried about paintings etc. being ruined, opt for other forms of art such as sculptures, and ceramics or glass

If you want to be considered a good decorator then think like one. if you place a houseplant and folded or rolled stacks of towels by the tub it will break up the lines of the bath, and add stylistic elements to the room without a lot of work. If you are on a tight decorating budget, or are just struggling with the bathroom, it is always safe to add a variety of houseplants to your bathroom. However, try to select plants that grow well in humid environments and that will do well in the type of lighting you have in your bathroom. If you are not sure, ask a local expert at a nursey.

4.Think simple, but beautiful. You can really dress up your bathroom by simply adding wall sconce on either side of your mirror, or using a framed mirror rather than one that is free. There are several small things you can do, such as using a fancy or decorative tie back for the shower curtain. The dcor you use can be functional as well as pleasing.

5.Last but not least, make sure that you utilize what you have. For example, if you keep q-tips in your bathroom, then find a decorative canister to hold them, and pair that canister with some art or a framed quote, etc. Think style aligned with function. Group smaller art, or phrases, or photos vertically in those small spaces of wall you have to work with. Use decorative shelving lined with canisters that hold your bathroom essentials, and never let yourself think that because it is a bathroom it can't be stylish.
